I Believe that you have created and tested the connection and thats working fine !!
So the next step would be to use the connection name that you have created and give the username and password of the database instance which you have created to install the dac repository Like DACQA ....
You need to enter this info to be able to log in !!
I tried with the user id/schama that is created 11g. But still i am getting same error "cant authentic user".
Am is missgin any privilige in database level.
Have you been able to create a connection successfully ?
Have you created the DAC Repository schema ?
When you log into DAC and connect to a DAC repository for the first time,
the DAC detects that the DAC schema does not exist in the database and you are asked whether you want to create a repository.
Please look at the Installation & Configuration Guide under the Getting Started tab - Section 4.8
The user for Informatica & DAC both should have the following privileges
Search for SSE_ROLE for more on privileges !!
If it helps do mark this as helpful !!
it is not asking me to create intial repository creation dialog box. it is establishing the connection, checking the repository, verifying user and then pops up the message "cant authenticate user". i tried with default Administrator user id/pwd and again with schema name and pwd. No Hope.
DAC was installed in one machine earlier. i installed in another machine and using the same schema name and pwd. some rep tables were already there.
i dropped pcsf_ tables.
Do i need to create another schema instead of reusing the existing schema? I checked the the schema i am using is having SSE_ROLE.\
This worked. I had to drop all the tables those were present in the earlier installation.
Thanks Sid for you input.
I encountered the same error, but I still fail to authenticate after dropping the whole database schema for dac. Can you share how you overcome the error ?
