I have recently started working on a classic ASP system and am having difficulty getting the pages to
work properly with the database. This occurs in the development environment, but the pages work
correctly in production. I am running Oracle 11.1.0 on a Windows XP platform.
When the statement:
Set OraSession = CreateObject("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")
is executed, the value of OraSession is Null. Would this be caused by an Oracle configuration issue, permissions problems, or something else?
I can't say I've ever seen that behavior, and suspect an error is probably occurring during CreateObject. You dont have the dreaded "on error resume next" do you? Try removing it so the error flies out if so.'
To ask the obvious, you do have OO4O installed, right? It shows up in the Oracle Universal Install when clicking Installed Products, and you have OIP11.dll in your OracleHome\bin directory?
Did you install OO4O from the full client install media? The ODAC download? Did you XCOPY or use the OUI to do the install?
