Hi user;1 person found this helpful
We have Oracle EBS 12.1.1 running on production which can be accessed through https://host.domain.comYou just copied single file? Did you follow rapidclone document?
we are trying to clone the system for the developers
now we have copied the config files from production to test, which doesnt have an SSL.
we find that although all the ebs services are running on the clone we are unable to access the webpage of the clone instance.Did you make succeed clone process? I am little confused here,if answer yes did you checked apache log file for any error message?
http://clone.domain.com:8070 ... (service is running on 8070) we get to the redirection page and it hangs up there ...with page not found
i feel there is some place where we will have to disable the SSL. we have changed all the URLs in /oracleas44/app/test/inst/apps/appl/admin/prod.xml from https to http, still the issue persistsIf your source target SSL is not enable so than it means your target(new clone) hasnt enable SSL
Please check below and be sure you have SSL or not
Enabling SSL in Release 12 [ID 376700.1]
Enabling SSL with Oracle Application Server 10g and the E-Business Suite [ID 340178.1]
thanks for your quick response.
we are not able to see the webpage at all. and there are no logs generated in the log files. hence i feel since there is no certificate for the new URL its not hitting the webserver at all
telnet to the system on the port 8070 does connect fine.
i need the SSL which is already there in the config files disabled for the test instance.
is there a way to disable SSL through command line. i have no GUI as of now.
and further i find that
when i type http://clone.domain.com:8070 on the browser, it redirects me to https://clone.domain.com:8070
Hi user;1 person found this helpful
we have changed all the URLs in /oracleas44/app/test/inst/apps/appl/admin/prod.xml from https to httpIn my instance which is SSL not enable i have only one https line in XML file which is:
How man line you have been changed in your XML file, which parameter?
we had edited atleast 10-12 lines which had https://clone.domain.com and changed it to http..
now the dba has deleted whole mountpoint where apps was copied and has started the copy again from production.
meanwhile we find that the temp tbs in the clone database was missing. he has now fixed it and hopefully things might work. i m unsure whether thats the cause. but still fingers crossed.

but is there a script which will disable SSL once SSL has been applied.
i cant find it in metalinks
Hi,1 person found this helpful
There is no specific script/document to disable SSL, but you could refer to the same document (Note: 376700.1) and revert back all the changes you have done and run AutoConfig to disable SSL.
well thanks for ur post.
we v tried to follow the steps in the reverse order of whats provided in enable ssl, because we need to disable it in test server... that doesnt seem to work

Did you try to make post clone again for apps tier?
thanks for your responses
all we had to do was add the following line to the config xml file
this disabled SSL redirection on the apps
things are working now
Its nice to hear it ;) By the way thanks for sharing solution wiht us who can face this issue in future
The easiest method to disable SSL in Clone, After finishing the clone of Apps Tier Bringdown the Apps Services and run following command
txkrun.pl -script=SetAdvCfg \-appsuser=apps -appspass=<Apps Password> -disable=SSL \-s_webport=<Web port>(Replace your Web Port Number)
The above script will disable all SSL enable configuration in Apps Autoconfig XML file, then run autoconfig on Apps Tier after above command, now the URL will point http.
Thanks a lot .. You saved me from great messup .
txkrun.pl thingy is superb
