We installed aia 11g r1. The aia console after logging in shows the three sections, project lifecycle mgt, cavs, setup, but does not show the 'Go' buttons to link to the each section. Has anyone encountered this before? any thoughts welcome.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Did you assign the user permissions for the logged in user. If not please follow the last step as discussed here.

    Hi sdsouza ,

Just to confirm, Did you follow all other steps of the installation guide properly and installation went successful? What does the installation log say? Any errors/excetions with respect to time zone or .py files?

    Regards,
    Neeraj

    Hi,

The problem is due to the user that you are using for AIA console login is not associated with some of the AIA groups.

So login into Weblogic Administrative console ->Security Realms and associate your user with the AIA groups.

No restart are required and this will solve your problem.

    Hi,

Please follwo the below steps to configure & associate roles for weblogic user. This will ensure the Go buttons gets displayed in AIA 11g console.

    Setting up AIA Roles:
    ====================
To set up AIA roles on WebLogic server:
    1. Login to the WebLogic server using the appropriate port http://<hostname>:<port number>/console
    2. Click Security Realms on the left panel.
    3. Click myrealm (or the realm with true in the Default Realm column) in the list.
    4. Click the Users and Groups tab.
    5. Click the Groups tab.
    6. Add the following roles (in JDev they are Roles in WebLogic Server they are Groups)
    • For AIA Lifecycle
    - AIALifecycleUser
Assigning users to this role enables them to access all aspects of the Project Lifecycle
Workbench, excluding bill of material generation. Typically, you would assign this role to
solution architects and functional product managers.
    - AIALifecycleDeveloper
Assigning users to this role enables them to access all aspects of the Project Lifecycle
Workbench, excluding bill of material generation. Typically, you would assign this role to
    integration developers.
    - AIALifecycleInstallDeveloper
Assigning users to this role enables them to access all aspects of the Project Lifecycle
Workbench, including bill of material generation. Typically, you would assign this role to
    installation developers.
    • For CAVS
    - AIAApplicationUser
    To add the roles:
    7. Click the New button.
    8. Enter the role in the Name field.
    9. Click OK.
Now you need to assign goups to the roles.
To assign groups to a roles:
    10. Click Security Realms on the left panel.
    11. Click myrealm (or the realm with true in the Default Realm column) in the list.
    12. Click the Users and Groups tab.
    13. Click the Users tab.
    14. Select the weblogic user (or add your own).
    15. Select the Groups tab.
    16. Move the desired groups to the chosen list.
    17. Click Save.
