I have a OLTP type table with 18 lakhs data which is queried and updated hugely. Now I need to tune queries performed on the table. We already have indexes on primary key fields, foreign key fields and some check constraints, which we cant change.
Please let me know the step by step process which I can implement in order to increase the speed of most queries.
The documents which you provided were really helpful.
Actually my problem is not with any particular query, but I want to enhance the execution speed of each and every query by doing some specific tasks.
For example in our organization amongst 400 tables 4 tables are very frequently used. So, if I am keeping those 4 tables in keep cache instead of default or recycle cache will it increase the query performance on those tables?
If I am rebuilding the indexes or drop them and recreate them then will it be beneficial?
If I am giving shrink tablespace command or coalescing then will it be beneficial?
Please let me know....
If you have any such other options then also let me know...
