Installing Oracle 11g R2 on Ubuntu 10.04

I am having problems with 11gR2 dbca on 32 bit Ubuntu 10.04

details here:

New Install: dbca problem on ubuntu 10.04

summary:

Software Only install went fine.

But, dbca gives me this:

$ dbca

    Hi,

    while Oracle is not supported on Ubuntu, I had this error on OEL in OVM as well.
    This looks like you are using a pretty knew AMD processor in your computer.

    This issue happens with a 32-bit operating system and 32-bit Java software on a new 64-bit AMD processor.

    Hope you have a mysupport access. The patch you need is: 8670579

    If you have not, only other workaround would be to install 64-bit Linux and use 64-bit Oracle 11gR2.
    Even though I would recommend OEL (since Ubuntu is not supported).

    To download OEL:

    edelivery.oracle.com/linux
    Free Update server: public-yum.oracle.com
