The Exadata documentation set is located in /usr/share/doc/oracle/Exadata on any Exadata storage server. Currently it's only available to Exadata customers.
While those docs are not released by Oracle, a good start is improving ( or gaining ) skiils on Cluster, ASM, RAC and Linux. At least when You get those DOCs, You'll be well prepared and understanding Exadata Will be easy ( or less hard ) ;)
Along with RAC, ASM, and Oracle Architecture, it helps learning about storage, and infiniband. Also look out for features like Hybrid Columnar Compression, Storage Indexes, Smart Scan etc.
You can also read some good blogs post about database machine on Pythian blog at http://www.pythian.com/news/
Can you give me Exadata documentation from this folder /usr/share/doc/oracle/Exadata. In our servers we can not find it.
If you don't have docs there on your storage cells, then you are not running Exadata. If you don't find /opt/oracle/cell/doc on your cells, open an SR to investigate why.
Dan, what is it SR?
SR = Service Request (a.k.a. Oracle TAR). This is a request you log in My Oracle Support to get help from support.
Thank you, Dan!
plus you can read the excellent book expert oracle exadata.
