We are planning to migrate Oracle 10g database to Oracle 11g with Exadata. We currently have Oracle workspace manager 10.2.0.4.2 installed. Any special considerations for moving to Exadata? Is it supported with Exadata?
I haven't tested the combination of the 2 myself, but there really shouldn't be anything additional to consider when working with Exadata. All of the usual considerations/restrictions for OWM would continue to apply to a Exadata database.
For DDL, all changes to the table need to be done on a skeleton LTS table that is created by dbmswm.BeginDDL. The changes are then applied to the base tables using dbms_wm.CommitDDL. There is also a difference in the maximum allowed length for the some objects (table names: 25, column: 28, trigger:27). Additionally, for import/export, only a full database import/export is supported. Schema and table level exports are not supported.
The Workspace Manager user guide has additional details, if you are interested.
