I have doubt regarding the APEX tool. Once i get into the administrator login page. In that page
under MANAGE INSTANCE---->SECURITY---->
under in restricted Ip address field if i specified my system IP address that is the IP of the system that im currently accessing the apex tool and under disable admin as well as in workspace login field if i give 'YES' means i couldnt able to access the apex tool admin as well as workspace login. in my system.
As of now i know how to get back to the admin page by running the following plsql script in command prompt that is given below
But as of now i want to know why i need to use that Restricted IP address field, that is for what purpose..
once if i specified any IP's in that field means, whether i need to make any changes in admin login field as well as in workspace login field...
one how my major doubt is once if i created an database application using APEX tool. And i need it to make it available for the end user.
I can do that by simply giving them, the URL link for that application. But i need to restrict the admin login page as well as workspace login page for the end user....For that what i need to do........please tell me the solution for restricting that kind of access to the end user..
I've been using the "Restrict Access by IP Address" in the APEX security settings and its working in that can only access from the IP address entered, and other clients just get a blank page. However I also want to stop access to all apex application is this instance but they work from and IP on the network.
Is this possible i.e restrict access by IP address for all apex apps in the instance not just the admin pages.
