JMAP with Sun One WebServer 6.1
Sep 15, 2010 1:07 PM
I have Sun One WebServer 6.1 and I would like to use jmap to create a heap memory dump with the following command:
jmap -dump:format=b,file=heap.bin <JVMID>
When I run ps -a or top on my server, I only see webservd processes. How do I obtain the PID of the JVM? Or is there another way to use JMAP with Sun One WebServer 6.1?

I actually figured it out. The js -l -m command lists the PID of all the running processes and I used top to figure out the connection between the webservd and jvm process.
