Java 6 update 20 does not request for ".pack.gz" pack200 signed applet

      Hi,

After I updated to Java 6 update 20 my pack200 compressed (locally) signed applet no longer runs. When I ran it in Java 6 update 16 it did run.

The Java Console in Java 6 update 20 gives:
      basic: Added progress listener: sun.plugin.util.GrayBoxPainter$GrayBoxProgressListener@4fce71
basic: Plugin2ClassLoader.addURL parent called for http://192.168.0.106/applets/s3.jar
network: Cache entry not found [url: http://192.168.0.106/applets/s3.jar, version: null]

The codebase param gives the right path to where the applet is - the only problem is that instead of s3.jar it should have requested for/utilized s3.jar.pack.gz.

From another machine that has JRE 6 update 16 where the jar file was cached I got this - ip adress removed:

, I wonder if I made a mistake regarding recent changes in Java 6 update # or if there is a bug within the JRE?

Thanks in advance for any help.
