Bug in Windows?

Hello everybody,

I am trying to compile the docs of my project in Windows and I got this error in the output:

    Do you have a CLASSPATH environment variable set? If so, remove it.

    Yes, it was because the CLASSPATH at the environment set. May I ask why this problem with this? I am using the JDK 1.6.0_12 under Windows Vista (but under Windows XP it is the same).

    Sorry, I don't know why CLASSPATH is problematic.

    I actually haven't used a CLASSPATH environment variable for almost 10 years. I think it is much better to explicitly specify the classpath for each java process started. If that is a cumbersome thing to do (e.g. because you have to add lots of jars to the classpath), you can create simple batch scripts to do that.
