    Hi geoinf,

    I have my application for Windows Mobile (Creme JVM / CDC).

    I use thinlet (GUI api), and I use HSQLDB (database) in Windows Mobile.

    Its run fast and very stable.

    All my application, with more then 15 forms, and my database HSQLDB with 15 tables, get the 11 mb. of memory RAM in Windows Mobile..

    thanks,

    Hi Fabio,
    Thanks for your answer.
    Are you using HSQLDB like a local database ? Do you use an abstraction level like Hibernate can do with J2SE Application ?

    Somebody has another Database / Solution ?

    I am trying to gather all information :)

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    I'm trying to use hsqldb on windows mobile but on a different jvm (using cvm) and i'm receiving the following error message: java.lang.SecurityException: Prohibited package name: java.sql.

    I was successful using NSIcom's jvm as well using the following code:

    Class.forName("org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver");
    Connection c = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:hsqldb:file:testdb", "sa", "");

    any idea as to why this error maybe occurring?

    any help is appreciated.

    Hi t00f,

    In the begin, I try use Hibernate, but without success. Its very slow in my Windows Mobile.

    In my application WEB, I use Hibernate.... But in Windows Mobile I cant.

    In the moment, I use JDBC default.. its a little work, but very fast.

    thanks,
    Fabio

    Hi Selladurai.M,

    How wrappingduke says..

    Just referenced in your buikd path the hsqldb.jar.

    If you use NetBeans, The hsqldb.jar will send together with your jar.

    just.

    thanks,
    Fabio

    Fala Dario,
    Ento, eu nunca usei o Postgree no windows mobile.

    Sei que o hsqldb muito leve, e roda perfeitamente nas minhas aplicacoes comerciais, com uma boa quantia de dados.

    O acesso  normal,

    Class.forName("org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver");
    connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:hsqldb:file:Windows/db/dbSample", "sa", "");

    abrao,

    Hi!

    My DB is very large. Some Tables have more than 30000 registers.
    I tested db4o and when i search a register in 30000, it trows a OutOfMemory Exception.
    Does HSQLDB support this load? Do you kwon any DB that support this load?

    -----

    Ol

    Eu tenho um banco de dados muito grande. Algumas tabelas tem mais de 30000 registros.
    Eu testei o db4o e quando realizei uma busca em 30000 registros ele estourou a memria.
    HSQLDB suporta toda essa carga? Voc conhece algum banco de dados que possa suportar?

    Hi all,

    can I make a connection with a database (mysql) that is in a remote server (localhost for while) with an application running CDC + CrEme in my pc??

    if i make a connection with DriverManager like a normal connection they are describing in the lastest posts, but instead of the local connection i make a connection to the local that my mysql database is, it will work???

    Regards.

    FABIO

    Hi t00f

    Finally, wich database did you choose to work on j2me cdc?? I have to do the same as you. I´m working with sun java toolkit 1.0 for cdc and sqlite but always I get this bug: "java.lang.SecurityException: Prohibited package name: java.sql". Can you tell me what was your solution?? Maybe I need a change.

    Thank you!!!
