I'm working on Series 60, 2nd edition, feature pack2 (Nokia mobile device) and I want to know whether I can access the contenets of the SMS folders (inbox, outbox, draft) using J2Me or not?
I found a code that receive SMS (using WM API ) on mobile but I found that it must have a port number to listen on it, so if I want to catch any SMS received on the mobile before going to inbox, what port number I should use in my program?
hi iam krishnamohan ,even i started doing the pojetc on WMA in J2ME.i have got the same problem cn w access the inbox and out box of the mobile using j2me.i.e how access the inbox and want to delete.if u got how to do it pls send a copy of that code pls.i heard it can be done through C++SDK it seems .once u confirm it and start to implement.pls send me if u have any suggestions.
Default inbox port is "0".So assign any new port like "50000" and start up and send message to the particular port using ur sms sending app.It will be directly received and showed in the midlet screen.
Inorder to prevent the message to goin to the inbox with default port some new port had to be introduced and the respective midlet starts
listening on the same port and its works fine..
Its been tested and implemented for various real time projects..
