I have not looked for Oracle related D scripts recently but have looked in the past and found none.
If you find some please update this thread.
have a good day,
To my knowlegde Oracle has not (yet) build in probes into the database itself.
For a start you might find Brendan Gregg's dtrace Toolkit (http://www.brendangregg.com/dtrace.html) helpful.
Hey!!of course that's a great site but U know,i've already visit it and it doesn't talk about probes for oracle!!howeiver i thought about another option, how do u think about exploiting oracle instance...i mean,do u think it's possible to monitoring oracle processes (LWGR,PMON,DBWR,SMON,...) with DTrace by using providers?like fbt or io,i don't know much!!remember, the aim is monitoring oracle database performance !!
There are not any probes for the oracle database.
As I don't use dtrace at the moment, I don't know if it is feasible to use the probes to monitor the oracles processes directly.
if you have performance issues, the Glenn Fawcett's blog "http://blogs.sun.com/glennf/entry/oracle_analysis_101_begining_analysis" may help.
