Some alerts do not clear. Its a feature :-).
Alerts should purge automagically after 30 days.
(or as set by the purge policy)
Database Alerts can be cleared; host and other types don't seem to be able to.

Right database alerts not monitoring alerts. I read in the docs that they dont have a purge policy for this. They stay around forever (unless you delete the target).
They claim is for this history :-)
It makes little sense. Once I have solved the problem I should be able to get rid of them.
I agree in keeping historical data but, as the name implies, it should be in an history page, not on the current status page confusing me.
But it looks awful when you see it because you automatically think there's a problem when there isn't !
Old OEM 9 used to put the little green flag up when it cleared....
