Got some x4240's in and I'm impressed with the build quality, really nice hardware.
They came with 16 146gb sas disks and a nice storagetek 2 port scsi HBA with both ports connected to the scsi backplane.
I'm I right in thinking that if I put 1 root disk in id 0 and the othe root disk in id 8 that I'd have both root disks on different scsi ports.
So in other words does 1 port deal with id's 0-7 and the other port with id's 8-15.
This would be good to know as it would give us greater redundancy and maybe better performance.
Many thanks Giancarlo.
