    Frequent disconnection with Cisco Switch

      I met some problem to connect our sun-fire-v240 and netra240 workstation to cisco swich WS-C4507R

      The symtoms is network connected successfully but disconnected without notice.

      We changed the setting to manual 100M full-duplex. but never working.

      We found below description from cisco. anyone comment for below information?

      Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Integrated Controller

      Symtom:
      Link comes up only with autonegotiation for speed and duplex.

      Description:
      NIC card drivers comes bundled with some administartive software, which affects the NIC card when the speed/duplex values are hard-coded.

      Resolution:
      Uninstall the administative programs that were originally installed along with driver files.

          Hello devpedia and viewers:

          I got this similar problem here. the downtime (network connection) was more than 1 hour which is reflex our services. Could you please be specific what administative programs should I remove?
