        Open a support case if you can or check back on this.

          I see that you are using Java JDK 1.6 update 13, this is known to cause problems - I would suggest that you install 1.6 update 14.

          Alternatively you can edit some file to prevent smpatch/updatemanager from using anything other than 1.5:
          $ grep 'version:' `which pprosvc updatemanager`
          /usr/sbin/pprosvc:JAVACMD="/usr/jdk/latest/bin/java -version:1.5+"
          /usr/bin/updatemanager:JAVA_EXEC="/usr/jdk/latest/bin/java -version:1.5+"
          Edit the pprosvc and updatemanager (if you use it) files so that it reads like this:
          $ grep 'version:' `which pprosvc updatemanager`
          /usr/sbin/pprosvc:JAVACMD="/usr/jdk/latest/bin/java -version:1.5*"
          /usr/bin/updatemanager:JAVA_EXEC="/usr/jdk/latest/bin/java -version:1.5*"
          Note: just change the '+' to a '*'

          Also, from the errors that you are seeing it would suggest that the patches cannot be read by the non-privileged account used by patchadd. Please extract the patch to somewhere that will not suffer from access restrictions, such as /var/tmp .
