Good day Gurus.
I am having errors in one node.
The command scstat return this error:
libsecurity: create of rpc handle to program rgmd_receptionist (100141) failed, will not retry
The cluster doesn't start all the services egg: rgmd.
Also doesn't mount global devices.
Maddy many thanks for Your reply.
I am using Solaris 9 , Sun Cluster 3.1
Check /var/adm/messages error
Cluster.CCR: [ID 487418 daemon.error] libsecurity: create of rpc handle to program rgmd_receptionist (100141) failed, will not retry
Cluster.CCR: [ID 652662 daemon.error] libsecurity: program rgmd_receptionist (100141) rpc_createerror: : RPC: Program not registered
This errors are from node 2
Another thing, the other node (node 1) is running well but I cannot do scshutdown will fail.
In node 2 global devices are not mounted, and the node doesn't boot complete. I cannot see login:. I did telnet and try mount globaldevices manually without success.
No Core files.
I think the rc3 scripts may not have completed.
What change was made to the system that necessiated a reboot? Was any rc script modified?
If a new software was installed, check if the correct procedure was followed.
Is this issue resolved, please let me know the solution. I am seeing the same issue: we created a 3 node cluster. Two systems are joining the cluster fine and the resource groups are coming online on them. But the third system is not joining the cluster; and scstat is hanging at the point of listing multi-owner device groups and throwing the error messages:
libsecurity: create of rpc handle to program rgmd_receptionist (100141) failed, will keep trying
Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi all , the same message " libsecurity: create of rpc handle to program rgmd_receptionist (100141)" also encontered when i was installing oracle 9i on Sun Solaris 9 while sun cluster is down . k my oracle 9i installation is completed but now i'm considering is this failure could create any problem when i'll use my Oracle in HA Sun Cluster after configuring my Oracle for HA Sun cluster mode?
i'm looking for positive rply ASAP
IIRC, this is just a transient message. I don't think it should cause you any problems. If all the nodes join the cluster successfully, then the cluster is working properly and you shouldn't have any problems with your data service.
