    Tomcat localhost

Hi, this is well completely embarrassing.

Got a copy of Tomcat on my (Windows Vista?) machine and it starts up and it shuts down. But when I put http://localhost:8080 in my machine (and it is 8080 according to config files), it does not get a response. What I don't like is that

      1. It tells me ''www.localhost.com' is not responding and

2.If I just type localhost, something called IIS7 pops up, so I click on it and a microsoft forwarder sends me to http://www.iis.net/ which is not something I ever encountered on XP or before. I'm not going to get cynical about microsoft, but would be grateful in getting away from this milarkey.......
