IDSync "Cannot modify the user entry because no matching user was found"

I'm setting up a new IDSync installation, and can create and delete users dynamically (this flows from Sun to Win), but password changes are not syncing -- changes on either side have no effect on the other. The errors I'm seeing in my logs that relate to attempted changes are like so:


(changed password on Sun):
