I don't think that is necessary. On closer inspection, the significant error that is shown is:

I suppose the system needs to be powered off in order for RSC discovery to succeed.... I'll have to try this. Can anyone confirm this?
Well, I just tried with one of the V490's powered off, but no change. I noticed in the wiki under supported systems, this note:
* Not all features are supported for the Sun Fire V490 Server.
Although, right now, it looks like none of the features are supported.
