Can you try posting this question on email@example.com mailing list?
Please refer to http://portalpack.netbeans.org/servlets/ProjectMailingListList
(You will need to be logged in to netbeans.org to see the subscribe button on the above page).
You may also want to try firstname.lastname@example.org mailing list :
I have the same problem - did you get a resolution on this?
I am not sure about this specific problem, but i would like to pass on some pointers that may be of help:
- This issue has been reported at http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=121651 . You may want to add your comments and vote for the bug(you may also want to attach relevant information to the issue like ide log files, a sample project zipped up if possible etc). The log file can be found at: [nbuserdir]/var/log/messages.log. Of course you can also create a new bug at http://www.netbeans.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi?component=portalpack
On filing/updating bugs: http://www.netbeans.org/community/issues.html
On userdir: http://blogs.sun.com/NetBeansSupport/entry/directories_in_netbeans_install_user
- You can also check your log file to see if there are any relevant error messages and/or stacktraces that may provide a clue in diagnosing the situation.
- You can try downloading the latest version from http://portalpack.netbeans.org/
I'm stucked in [this same issue|http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=138162] with NB IDE 6.1 and Portal Pack 2.0.
The problem seems to be portlet version specific:
- Portlet 1.0 => fails
- Portlet 2.0 => ok
Just tried this agian with netbeans 6.1 (build 200804211638) and portlet plugins 2.0.5 and Portlet 2.0 Hello World.
The renderRequest problem is still there.
Back in November 2007 I reported the issue to email@example.com
You can see the thread here [reported problem |http://portalpack.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=20]
It was recognised as a bug but not sure if it got any further....
Is this even solved in new version of portal pack. there still seems to be problem with "renderRequest" not being identified?
Any inputs would be appreciated .
