      Hi all

      I got this error when I tru to click the name of the stand-alone instance from admin console, any idea what the problem is?

      Operation 'getRuntimeStatus' failed in 'server' Config Mbean. Target exception message: error during JRMP connection establishment; nested exception is: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: The certificate chain from the server is not trusted

      thanks

          Just wondering if you found a fix for this problem.
          I've just encountered it myself after a clean install, and its damn annoying.

          The closest thing I've found to help is http://blogs.sun.com/fireman/date/20060712

          but it hasn't been able to help my case yet. );

            Same error is happening to us.
            sun-appserver-ee8.1_02
            When using the web based console:
            Admin Console > Stand-alone instances > server

            The first part of the error is different, but the root cause is the same. I have this in two freshly installed servers:

            A "com.sun.enterprise.tools.guiframework.exception.FrameworkException" was caught. The message from the exception: "Unabled to handle pre-compiled JSP '/jsp/serverInstance.jsp'. Expected pre-compiled classname: 'org.apache.jsp.jsp.serverInstance_jsp'."

            The root cause is "java.security.cert.CertificateException: The certificate chain from the server is not trusted"

            Anbody know anything?
