A problem that I have faced many times. Check the entries in the /etc/hosts file and check it against the domainname value at the command prompt, if both of them mismatch the installation would stop abruptly.
Next, check if you are able to ping the Solaris box from the neighbouring machine by using ping utility. The ping that you are giving must be something like, ping hostname.domainname(eg: ping mysys.domain1.domain2.com).
The reason why this occurs is, iAS automatically picks up the one that is set by default while accepting inputs. But at the later stage, this is automatically picked up and is not the one given as input. Please let me know if this helps, for me to investigate further on this.

I have the same problem. How do I reconfigure this? Mine is a stand alone Solaris 9 server. Can I restart this fresh or do I need to reconfigure it?
I am on Windows box and getting the exact error that was posted.
Add a host entry to drivers/etc/host file.
