    Serial ports in 64-bit Linux

I am having problems with this and have posted here:

java comm api in 64-bit Linux (second page... look for a post about the same time as this one)

Does anyone have a reliable howto for 64 bit Linux ?

Needless to say... annoyance that this is not in the core api is limitless.

I'm annoyed that we don't have Complex Primitives, Operator Overloading and World Peace in the core API but they ain't and are probably never going to be. If you are really annoyed then you could always switch to Mono and use System.IO.Ports . I can switch to use Mono for Operator Overloading but Mono does not have Complex Primitives or World Peace and I don't see them ever being implemented in Mono. I suppose I have to go back to FORTRAN and just forget World Peace. Bummer!

And FORTRAN allows you to put spaces in the middle of your k e y w o r d s. Now that a language guarenteed to put hairs on your chest.
