At Database Track, you need OCA to get OCP.
For detailed information on tracks, see http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=39
Yes, I know we need OCA to get OCP, but my main question was, how long are our certifications for?
Is there an official Oracle URL that has this information for every certification that Oracle offers?
You mean expiration?
Oracle Certifications don't expirate. Onde you are OCP 8i, you are OCP 8i forever.
But the tests expire, you can se that at http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=206 .
Generally, certifications don't expire. They are generally tied to a particular version, though. So once you became an OCP for Oracle 7, you'd always be an Oracle 7 OCP. You would have to take one or more upgrade exams to get the Oracle 8 OCP (or the 8i OCP or the 9i OCP, 10g OCP, 11g OCP, etc.)
I was selfassuming they had some life duration thus having to take it again to keep your certification once it expired. The cisco world poisoned my assumptions, given cisco certifications expire after X amoung of days/year,,,etc...
The mentioned link does not contain any reference to 10g database OCP. Does anyone know when this exam will no longer be available ?
