In Vista and Win7 you must "Run as administrtor" your command prompt even if you are an admin.
Already did that, still doesn't work.
It works for me in Win7. But anyway, why not re-install the JRE?
I already deleted jdk and jre with Windows Install Clean Up Utitily and removed the keys, but it still doesn't work =/
Something strange about your system... I give up.
Since you cannot execute commands that I can, I belive your JRE installer cannot do it either.
I'm just using Vista Service pack 2, legal? ;/
Can't someone help me? =/
You're asking in the wrong place. This is a Java forum. If you can't run the 'assoc' command it is a Windows problem, not a Java problem. Try a Windows forum.
It works with other file types, just not with jar. Also it's not assoc I think, I already ran it at the hidden admin account, which gave the same error.

A few months ago, I was messing with some executable jar files, but now I can't run them anymore without a batch file or command line, so how do I fix this?
Thanks in advance,
