what should i give for source database and target databaseBoth should point to the ORACLE_HOME you are converting from non-RAC to RAC.
what shopuld be the database status which should be up and running and which should be down.The database should be up before converting the database.

I had the same situation.
Did You check Your SI database "PROD" and proper rconfig configuration file?
In my case it was a not proper db name set.
