I have server HP ProLiant DL380G7 part number 583966-421.
There are 6x2Gb memory in the bundle and 6x4G memory for addition. Total 36Gb RAM. There are 2 RAID volumes: RAID1 of 2x500Gb SATA and RAID10 of 6x146Gb SAS.
I have downloaded ISO image from the oracle e-delivery site Oracle VM Server 2.2.1 part number V21103-01 from "Oracle VM 2.2.1 Media Pack v4".
When I booted Oracle VM installer from the boot CD I created default set of partitions on RAID1 (2x500Gb). Then I deleted OVS partition on RAID1 and created OVS partition on RAID10 (6x146Gb) allocating all free space on RAID10. I allocated all free space on RAID1 with ext3 filesystem.
So, Installation was successful, but when the server restarted, the error appeared -
I have solved this problem by deleting all RAID partitions and recreating them with other order. The first RAID partition is bootable partition in the list. You must install Oracle VM on the first partition when you use HP Smart Array RAID controller.
