If I may take take a guess (as you didn't indicate client platforms and JRE versions) you are using JInitiator. Get rid of it, and use a recent SUN JRE instead. If you want to know how to do this use the forum search or ask google; this question has been asked more then once.
go for JRE and configure u r formsweb.cfg with JRE configurations....
and after u r IE-8 will not crash.....
thx, which JRE version is compatible
is this option supported by ORACLe
Certifications are published; you can easily take a look:1 person found this helpful
and for the record the process of moving to SUN JRE is also published:
If you look through the first link Christian provided you will find that the minimum Sun JRE version certified for IE8 is 1.6.0_16. The problem with Jinitiator is that it is based on the Sun JRE 1.3 and this JRE is not compatible with modern browsers. The other link Christian provided will give you all the necessary changes you need to make to the formsweb.cfg in order to use the Sun JRE. The process is quite simply and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to change.1 person found this helpful
