Hi thanks for the help:
bash-2.05$ pvs /lib/sparcv9/libCstd.so.1
bash-2.05$ pvs /lib/sparcv9/libCrun.so.1
libc.so.1 (SUNW_0.8, SUNWprivate_1.1);
Do I need to install both? Since 111711-29 is the corresponding 32-bit patch and my system is a 64-bit system.
I can't remember how that works with Solaris 9, but chances are that you have both the 32 and the 64 bit packages installed, in which case its probably a good idea to install both.
If you don't have the 32 bit package the installation will simply fail..
You need install both.
Solaris 64bit kernel always allow run 32bit aplications, so it required have all 32-bit lib.
It's impossible install 64bit kernel without support 32bit. More part system utilities - 32 bit.
