The OL5 version of sudo(8) is already compiled with LDAP support, so you can use the version included with the distro. You lose any Oracle support you have for self-compiled code.
Thanks. I am going to upgrade to SUDO 1.8 as have 1.7.x installed. But I need exact steps to migrate sudo users if I do not need to re-compile SUDO with the LDAP option?
I tried to compile it yesterday but the make command complained that it could not find 'ldap.h' and 'lrep.h' file.
Can someone point me to steps to migrate and configure OID for 'sudoers' on Linux Red Hat?
Please note my issue is still unresolved on how to successfully migrate Linux server 'sudoers' file to OID. Could someone please address this?
Regarding the compile errors... Did you try to install the openldap-devel packages, i.e. yum install openldap-devel*
