    Maven links no longer working

    505341
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/berkeley-db/je/maven.html is redirecting the user to the login page. Is the latest version (BDB 11gR2) available via Maven?

Sorry about that. There were some structural changes and I suspect this is a side effect. We're looking into this and should resolve this early next week.

When I go to the link you mentioned, it does not prompt for login. I logged out first to test this.

Is it possible this was a transient problem, i.e., is it still happening for you?

Do you have any update on when BDB JE 11gR2 will be available through Maven?

              Kind regards,

              Henrik

                Hi,
JE 4.0.103, the latest release, is available through Maven according to our tests.
                --mark

                  Mark,

That's correct. I was more wondering about version 5.1.19 for which the source can be downloaded from the main BDB download page. Perhaps it's not considered a release yet?

Anyway, thanks for your good work!

                  Kind regards,

                  Henrik

5.1.19 is a BDB release, not BDB JE. This is the BDB JE forum, not the BDB forum.

AFAIK BDB is not available via Maven at all, and since it's not pure Java I don't know if it makes sense to use Maven. You could post to the BDB forum if you want to discuss that, however.

http://download.oracle.com/maven is no longer working. Even being referenced over http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/berkeleydb/downloads/maven-087630.html , the site is not available at the moment (HTTP: 404).

Is there a new site up or is it just an intermediate failure?

                      cheers

I think it must have been an intermittent error, as the files are accessible now. Please try again.

                        Sorry for the trouble.

This is occurring for me too. It appears that the maven repo was perhaps configured to not allow directory browsing? This causes problems with those of us who use Maven proxied repositories like Sonatype Nexus. If the proxy repo can't read your directories and download your indexes then it is affectively like making your repo invisibile to a huge chunk of the Maven user community.

Thanks for this info. We'll talk to our IT folks to see if we can make the directory browsable and get back to you.

So how was the talk going? Cause ..
                              $ curl -s -f http://download.oracle.com/maven/ || { echo 'out of order for over a year now ..' >&2 ; }
out of order for over a year now ..

                                But this works
                                wget http://download.oracle.com/maven/com/sleepycat/je/4.1.17/je-4.1.17.jar
In other words, you have to know what you want, browsing is out of question.
