      Hi All ,

      Could you please provide me below information or how to check for server T5240.

      1) CPU processor name\type and speed

      2) Number of sockets in server on server model

      3) Number of sockets in use and available (free)

      4) Number of cores running on each socket

      5) Number of threads/strands per core

      6) info on the current number of virtual cpus on the server

          On all question answer:
          prtdiag -v

          What You need know addtional:
          All T5240 alway have Two UltraSPARC T2 Plus multicore processors.

          Possible CPU:
          CPUs 1.2GHz 4-Core (32 ×2 for a total of 64 concurrent threads)
          1.2GHz 6-Core (48 ×2 for a total of 96 concurrent threads)
          1.2GHz 8-Core (64 ×2 for a total of 128 concurrent threads)
          1.4GHz 8-Core (64 ×2 for a total of 128 concurrent threads)

          So answer for question 2,3 is fixed:

          System should have two installed CPU. No free socket.

            Agree. With the execution of [prtdiag -v] you 'll find the information that you are asking for.

              I think it should be well portrayed by a command.

              These are two common commands I have but I still cannot tell the number of CORES?
