The authentication issue you're having on Windows 2008 is a known issue with a documented solution. Please consult "Configuring VueLink For SharePoint 19.2 To Work On Windows 2008 (Doc ID 1087904.1)" in the Oracle Support Portal.
VueLink 19.2 for SharePoint is indeed the latest version released by Oracle. We do have alternative solutions so I suggest you reach out to your AutoVue Account Manager to discuss your options. This is especially critical if you plan on upgrading to SharePoint 2010 in the near future.
Does that mean that autovue and vuelink will no longer be supported and developed by oracle on sharepoint 2010 ?
I do have a real interest in reading Cad documents on sharepoint 2010 !
AutoVue does have an integration to SharePoint 2010. Please get in touch with us for more info:
If you're an existing customer - please contact your AutoVue Account Manager.
If you're not an existing customer or not sure who to contact - please send an email to email@example.com, referencing this thread.
I am sorry but I don't understand your answer.
We do own a few licences of autovue, bought from a french licence retailer.
Who is AutoVue Account Manager ? Why should I contact him ?
We'd like to get in touch with you to discuss, but don't have your contact info... feel free to post your info, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or log an SR in My Oracle Support.1 person found this helpful
@G DE VAUX, I have done a SharePoint 2010 connector as part of much larger project but not sure if the project is actually heading anywhere you can have the connector with source code if you want.1 person found this helpful
Unlike Oracle's Connector which uses a Dms Servert and .NET SOAP Services, this is one is implemented completely as a C# /ASP.NET Handler utilizing SharePoint APIs and DMAPI for AutoVue (So no custom Java Servlets or Slower SOAP calls, yeah we are a Microsoft shop so wanted to keep away from developing any in-house Java code!)
It does not support Xref’s and Renditions but adding support for XRef should be straight forward depending upon if your XRefs are stored in the Same Document library in SharePoint or in a central site for entire company to use same blocks,
We never needed Renditions so never looked into it
