I've been given a couple of Solaris 5.9 servers and asked to determine the make, model, firmware and driver of HBA that is installed.
After doing some research on the net, I found commands such as 'luxadm'/'cfgadm' etc, yet cannot extract the necessary information.
Can anyone advise on the basic commands that could help me?
Thanks in advance
I'm still struggling to get the brand, model and firmware of HBAs from the servers.
Can you give any further advice please?
I've managed to extract very basic information such as brand and model from v5.10 servers using 'fcinfo hba-port', but not the firmware revision.
Thanks for the reply, that's part of the problem, I don't have physical access to the boxes and don't know the vendor.
Will give it a try and see how I get on, spent quite a bit of time on this now..
For analyse remote system - collect results of explorer. Best - with features on for specific equipment.
/opt/SUNWexplo/bin/explorer -w fru,defaults
After - analyse available output from many commands.
