Cross-Platform print dialog ignores Window's default printer setting?

I experience the problem, that the cross-platform print dialog seems to completly ignore the default printer setting.
Although the epson receipt printer is set as default printer https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/5xW_wB63hRQJzbwRCsg_TgBiX1r6uK8ZJh_dEiJnndQ?feat=directlink,
the setting is completly ignored, instead the "Microsoft XPS" thing is selected as default: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/nClqBtgcf4Lh8-DEACd6zwBiX1r6uK8ZJh_dEiJnndQ?feat=directlink

Also, if I choose to not show the Print-Dialog when printing with JasperReports, be default the "Microsoft XPS" "printer" is used by default.

Any idea what could cause this problem, and how to work arround it?

      Thank you in advance, Clemens
