We are using Oracle Migration WorkBench Release 10.1.0.4.0, for the migration of Informix DB to Oracle Source DB metadata is capture using offline capture scripts and laded to OMWB using Offline Source model load. The load is completed successfully with out any errors or warnings. But any of the DB objects like Table , view and procedures is not listed in source model. The application tables are captured in data files(IDS9_SYSTABLES, dat * XML files). But not listed in source model. It would be great help if anyone suggest us , how to proceed.

Thanks in advance,

These are the log message we are getting in error.log , We are using Informix version 9.40.

    Hi,
Are you getting the error when using the capture wizard ?
I suggest that you drop and recreate the migration repository then try again. Do you have an Oracle RDBMS you could use for the repository instead of the Oracle Lite database ?
If you still have problems after recreating the repository we will need to try and find the objects causing the problem.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your information.

I connected OMWB to Oracle repository database and tried the migration again . This time also it shows ‘Loading Source Model Complete – Number of errors 0 and Number of Warnings 0’ . But while we expand tree view for source model it shows ‘no Objects have been Captured’.
This time we got another error in the log file.
EXCEPTION :Informix7DisconnSourceModelLoad.getDbId(): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.

Please suggest us how to proceed ,

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
You could be getting these errors because the repository owner does not have the correct privileges.
Could you try the following steps -

    (1) Drop the existing repository user and all objects.
    (2) create a new repository user
    (3) Grant connect, resource, create view, create synonym to the new repository user
    (4) create repository using new user with above privileges
    (5) run migration

    Regards,
    Mike
