ping hostnameIf this is successful then see if you can hit the db using the db hostname and port:
telnet hostname portIf this is working you should be ok to retry the installation. If you have problems you will need to see if any firewall rules are enabled that are preventing the CCG application server from communicating with the database.
ping <db hostname>Then if that's successfull you can try to telnet to the db from the appserver/tomcat by running the following:
telnet <db hostname> <db port>That should tell you if it can connect to the database of the ERP.
