    BAM database purging/cleanup

    SOADreams
Can someone please guide me on *"How to purge/clean BAM database?".* We are looking to retain only 1 month data and delete the rest. I tried looking for purge scripts like the ones that exist for BPEL but was unable to locate anything.

          Hi,

          You can do that:

"Manually clear the contents of the data object in Oracle BAM Architect" OR "Construct an alert using the Delete rows from a Data Object action"

          Reference: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10230/bam_purge.htm#BAMUG1350|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10230/bam_purge.htm#BAMUG1350]

Thanks. One more question .... I have BPEL processes that generate data for BAM data objects. Now if I delete BPEL instances in SOAINFRA, Will that have any effect on BAM data objects and reports ?

              It depends...
If you use dataobjects as External Data Sources, yes the data shown in BAM will be affected.
If you use dataobjects receiving data from DBAdapters or BAMAdapters, or through BPM Process Analytics, stored locally, then will not be affected.
