When installing I go through the checks before installing, but it fails on the last step, checking for Oracle XE service instance. The error log says:

      Checking operating system requirements...
Expected result : Windows XP or above
      Actual result: Windows XP
Check complete: The overall result of this check is passed.

Checking admin priveleges for logged in user... :
Expected result : Administrator priveleges for current logged in user.
Actual result: Current logged in user has administrator priveleges.
Check complete: The overall result of this check is passed.

      Checking required Disk Space...
Expected result (In MB) : 1500
Actual result (In MB) : 199860
Check complete: The overall result of this check is passed.

Checking for Oracle XE Service instance...:
Expected result : OracleXEService should not be installed already.
Actual result: OracleServiceXE found on system.
Check complete: The overall result of this check is failed.

I do have Oracle 10g Express Edition installed. Must it be uninstalled first? How does uninstall just the OracleXEService? It's not running as a system task.

Maybe I missed it, but I can't find any information about this in this forum.
