I am in the process of integrating PrettyFaces into a public facing ADF/WebCenter application. The problem I am facing is that the ADF query parameter "_adf.ctrl-state" is being reinitialized on each page load. Because of this, ADF does not know what the previous page was and a click of the back button will redirect the user to the context root.
The cause for this - I believe - is that the PrettyFaces request processing order of operations [http://ocpsoft.com/docs/prettyfaces/3.3.0/en-US/html/Processing_order.html] creates a disconnect for ADF where it basically sees the page request as a new session.
I am curious if anyone has encountered this use case and how they solved it - or if anyone could provide insight into a possible workaround that does not involve disabling the back button. TIA.
I am using JDev 126.96.36.199, JSF 1.2, ADF & WebCenter.
Thanks Frank. I was able to obtain the "_adf.ctrl-state" value from HttpServletRequest and append it to the PrettyFaces url string used by the response redirect.
In case other ADF developers run across this problem, I will provide a link to a more detailed thread on the PrettyFaces forum: http://ocpsoft.com/support/topic/adf-prettyfaces-and-a-persistent-query-param
