We're trying to migrate a Sybase database to Oracle using SQL Developer 3.0. We can successfully connect to both Sybase and Oracle using the tool, as well as click through the Migration Wizard and start the migration.
This opens the Database Migration dialog box, which indicates the capture process starts normally. It goes on to capture table columns. Once it moves to indexes though, we get the following error:
Migration actions have failed. Check the migration reports for details. : null
But no migrations report is displayed or otherwise available. I've looked but cannot find a log of the migration either. Is there a way to get more information on this error? Is there a log being created somewhere?
I ran the following to get the version number:
Here's the results:
Adaptive Server Enterprise/15.0.3/EBF 17771 ESD#4/P/NT (IX86)/Windows 2003/ase1503/2768/32-bit/OPT/Thu Aug 26 05:46:35 2010
Thanks for the help. Yes, there's one record in the MIGRLOG table (pivotted for readbility):
LOG_DATE 14-NOV-11 04.32.39.715000 PM
LOGTEXT Capturing Indexes

sorry for the delay. I have seen that in the meantime you have logged a Service Request, and it has already been closed.
That was the best way to speed up the work on an issue of such a kind, and I was just going to suggest exactly that. Priority work in Support are SRs, Forum threads are of lower priority per-se.
Yes, I opened an SR with Oracle; apologies for not mentioning that here.
Basically we couldn't resolve the issue and get a complete conversion of a Sybase schema. We're currently reviewing other migration options.
Thanks for your help.
