Opportunity Title Field Character Limit Workflow

We have a field in the opportunity field ID = title. We are only allowed an 83 character limit (NetSuite Native), however users are entering over 83 characters which is causing scripting errors in other transactions.

I am trying to create a 'Return User Error' when the Title field in the Opportunity is Greater than or equal to 83 Characters.



I can't seem to get the WF to execute when I create a new Opportunity with the title obviously longer than 84 characters.

HELP?
