Customer Portal item restriction

Hello Experts,

Can you please help us in understanding how we can restrict some items from customers to be order directly via customer portal?

We are planning to provide customer portal access to some of our customers but we dont want all items available to customers and we want to restrict customers to certain items.

How can we do that?
