Release Preview 2021.2

If you would like to receive a 2021.2 Release Preview account, please opt -in to take advantage of the Release Preview access period to prepare and become familiar with the new NetSuite capabilities. For details, see Requesting a Release Preview Account.

If you receive a Release Preview account in 2021.2, you can access it several weeks before your production account is scheduled for an upgrade to the new release of NetSuite. Notifications with details about Release Preview availability are sent to the account administrators as described in Release Preview Notifications. Release Preview availability information is also posted on the New Release portlet.

Full Question: If there is enough stock, then is doing direct invoicing a bad practice? Will Allow Overage of items and Allow Uncommitted items preference cause troubles to costing of items?

    Thank you for joining yesterday's webinar and for actively participating in the polls and Q&A portion!

    To answer your question, doing direct invoicing when there is enough stock is not necessarily a bad practice. It will still depend on how businesses process sales.

    On the other hand, for Allow Overage on Item Fulfillments and Allow Uncommitted, yes, these allow users to go underwater sales and that will result to COGS Adjustment. Thus, users should be extra cautious if these preferences are in use.

    With this, we can take additional measures to avoid underwater sales such as enabling Inventory Level Warnings. For your reference, you can visit SuiteAnswer Id 28025 - Setting the Inventory Level Warnings Preference. This may be helpful in both instances.
