Release Preview 2021.2

If you would like to receive a 2021.2 Release Preview account, please opt -in to take advantage of the Release Preview access period to prepare and become familiar with the new NetSuite capabilities. For details, see Requesting a Release Preview Account.

If you receive a Release Preview account in 2021.2, you can access it several weeks before your production account is scheduled for an upgrade to the new release of NetSuite. Notifications with details about Release Preview availability are sent to the account administrators as described in Release Preview Notifications. Release Preview availability information is also posted on the New Release portlet.

Open Accounting Period for Inactive Subsidiary

How? The inactive subsidiaries are not included in the list but we need to open the subsidiary.

    Hi Jenny,


    Thank you for creating another thread!

    As per checking you need to activate the subsidiary at first and then reopen the period. Once the changes are done, set the subsidiary to inactive again.

    I suppose that you are using Administrator role. For non administrator role, please note, that the Subsidiaries subtab displays only those subsidiaries that your role has permission to access. If your role does not have permission to access all of the subsidiaries, you cannot see the complete subsidiary hierarchy.

    Also tagging my colleague @Micah Timbol-Oracle -- any thoughts you would like to share?

    Hello there! As documented in SuiteAnswers: 19058, we will not see those inactive subsidiaries in the accounting module Period Lock. The same when closing and reopening.
