Saved Search Emails Are Being Duplicated After Creating a Workflow

Scenario: The saved search was set to generate an email based on the Criteria of the search. The duplicate email started after adding the search to a workflow.

Solution:

The workflow triggers the After Record Submit actions, then saves the record again. This causes emails to get sent out again.

Edit your workflow and check the Trigger Type if it is set to After Record Submit. Changing the trigger to Before Record Submit will solve the duplicate email issue.

The Before Record Submit trigger is a server trigger and executes after a user clicks Save on a record, but before NetSuite saves the data to the database. Actions and transition set to execute on Before Record Submit execute on the NetSuite server, before the record data is ‘submitted’ to the database. You may refer to SuiteAnswers ID:
